Young at Heart
It’s never too early to start learning a thing or two about style. Even the youngest Havaianaticos have their own niche in the brand’s 2010 collection.
Little ones can make an early fashion statement with the new fun colors of the beach-themed Havaianas Baby Estampas, the fun Havaianas Baby Numbers or the all-time classic, the Havaianas Baby Top. Kids can put their best feet forward as Havaianas makes a mini-me version of the successful Havaianas 4 Nite style and enjoy other glow-in-the-dark pairs like the frighteningly stylish Havaianas Kids Shock and the mystic Havaianas Kids Fairy.
Frisky tots will also be glad to know of cool new designs from Havaianas such as the roaring Havaianas Kids T-Rex, the joyful Havaianas Kids Toy, the rockin’ Havaianas Kids Slim Dance and the floral Havaianas Kids Slim Garden.
To Each His or Her Own
If women are from Venus and men are from Mars, Havaianas dominates both planets with new designs made specifically for the XX and XY style creatures.
Guys can look forward to the innovative Havaianas Wind. This modern new style not only uses injected rubber in the soles to provide comfort, it also features a tubular strap that securely embraces your feet. Also included in this new collection is the popular Havaianas Surf.
Women can watch out for Havaianas Spirit—an elegant new style that combines a two-toned metallic strap with a molded sole of injected rubber that’s perfect for female feet. More adventurous women can look forward to the glow-in-the-dark Havaianas Fun, which has fluorescent straps. Other styles for women include the Havaianas Floral Gypsy and the Havaianas Slim Animals. Three new styles enter the High line: the Havaianas High Light Spring, the cashmere-inspired Havaianas High Flowers, and the Havaianas High Light, with its gentle swirls.
New hues of seasoned favorites are also introduced for the sleek Havaianas Slim , the elegant Havaianas Fit and lastly, the eye-catching Havaianas High Metallic.
Two to Tango
No matter the planet of origin, men and women agree on one thing: they have to keep up with the Joneses—in this case, through the Havaianas 2010 unisex styles. The glow-in-the-dark Havaianas 4 Nite has been updated with louder, funkier designs, while the Havaianas Top Metallic is now available in new colors. The Havaianas Brasil Logo combines two much-loved styles by featuring both the Brasil flag and a colored, embossed Havaianas logo while an updated Havaianas Trend features waves and geometric patterns.
Style for All
Man or woman, young or not so young, true stylistas know that fashion also takes a step beyond the usual. For fashion staples such as Havaianas, innovation is the measure of an iconic new 2010 flip-flops ensemble.

Havaianas Update on the Recall of Select Kids’ Styles in the U.S.
Dear Havaianatico,
You might have heard about the recent U.S. voluntary recall of select kids styles due to a pigment used in the decorative paint on the sole of some of the the flip-flops, which may contain lead in excess of the U.S. federal standard. Because you are one of our valued friends, we’d like to update you and provide you with first-hand information from Havaianas Philippines.
Because the safety and well-being of our customers and the public are our first priority, the Philippine distributor, Terry SA, has in an act of good faith, extraordinary caution and diligence, pulled out all the kids styles – even those not covered by those recalled in the U.S. – from the selling floor. This is why you probably have not seen any kids styles in our stores right now.
But nevertheless, we would like to assure you that as footwear, our products offer no health hazards whatsoever. The recall was specific to the U.S. and there have been no reported injuries or incidents in any country where Havaianas is sold, including the Philippines. We are confident that very soon, we will be able to introduce all new stocks of our kids styles, that have now been produced using organic dye and are fully compliant with any of the strictest international standards.
If you have any questions or concerns, you may call our hotline at (02) 8958744, and we would more than gladly provide you with the information and assistance that you need. You may also visit the website at www.havaianasphilippines.com/exchange
Thank you very much!
The RockEd Original Grant (Made Possible by Havaianas)
The Havaianas Top: The monochromatic style that first caught the world’s attention
Original [adjective] - Authentic. Preceding all others in time; first. Showing a marked departure from previous practice; unique and creative.
When you put on a pair of Havaianas, you hold in your hands a product whose unique story began in 1962, in the sunny shores of Brazil. Created nearly half a century ago, Havaianas was made to fit the beach-loving, easy-going and confident mindset of a tropical culture. Decades later, though Havaianas is available in over eighty countries, every pair is still produced in a single factory in northern Brazil, using the same closely-guarded secret rubber formula.
Today, Havaianas is an icon for the carefree and casual lifestyle that was inspired by the caress of a fresh sea breeze and the feel of warm sand against bare feet. Havaianas would not only be worn by sports icons like David Beckham, designers like Christian Louboutin, Hollywood stars like Jennifer Aniston and royalty such as Queen Silvia of Sweden, it would also walk runways, and grace the pages of the world’s biggest fashion magazines. Sweeping the world as the embodiment of casual ease and luxurious joy, this pioneer in the global flip-flops industry holds a special place in the hearts (and feet) of Filipinos.
Slip on your pair of Havaianas and you will not only be assured of the quality and authenticity of the brand, you will also become part of the original story.

The RockEd Orignal Grant (Made Possible by Havaianas)
by Gang Badoy, founder of RockEd
This summer we are encouraging you to think of your own project.
It need not be grand, it just needs to be original. Completely yours. In exchange, nine (9) original ideas will be funded by Rock Ed through a grant given to us by Havaianas.
We believe that there are ideas hiding in your mind, ideas for promoting awareness, helping out, honesty, intelligent voting, alternative classes, micro-financing small businesses, pushing for participation, etc. You name it, we know you have it.
In any case, drag that idea out of your brain and type it onto an empty white Word File sheet, then email to myidea@rockedphilippines.org –this summer Havaianas gave Rock Ed the capacity to fund that idea of yours.
To find out more on how you can get your project funded surf: http://rockedoriginalgrant.multiply.com and add the site as your contact so we can keep you in the idea loop.
